WordPress 2.8 Plugins

* Revision Control
The plugin allows the user to set a blog-global setting (Settings -> Revisions) for pages/posts to enable/disable/limit the number of revisions which are saved for the page/post. The user may change this setting on a per-page/post basis from the Revisions Meta box.
Delete-Revision
Revision Manager is a plugin, to delete a large number of redundant revision to increase the speed of implementation of the SQL statement

* Search Everything
Adds search functionality with little setup. Including options to search pages, excerpts, attachments, drafts, comments, tags and custom fields (metadata). Also offers the ability to exclude specific pages and posts.
This search is based on the database.
Search Unleashed
Advanced search engine that provides full text searching across posts, pages, comments, titles, and URLs. Searches take into account any data added by other plugins, and all search results are contextually highlighted. You can also highlight incoming searches from popular search engines.
This search engine is index based which is not automatically updates on website changes. This method is advantages when the website contains very many pages.

There is a huge number of plugins for SEO optimization. Some of them are even commercial plugins. The one I have chosen has no special reason

Optimizes your WordPress blog for Search Engines (Search Engine Optimization)
izioSEO Another SEO package, unfortunately it does not work at all in my 2.8.x wordpress installation (the settings pages can not be accessed)

* WordPress.com Stats (Integrated Statistics System)
* StatPress
The first real-time plugin dedicated to the management of statistics about blog visits. It collects information about visitors, spiders, search keywords, feeds, browsers etc.
WP-Stats
Display your WordPress blog statistics. Ranging from general total statistics, some of my plugins statistics and top 10 statistics.

Counts the number of users, categories, posts, comments, pages, links, tags, link-categories, words in posts, words in comments and words in pages.
